Stripes, Gold and Golden Skin

Whenever i think of stripes i immediately think of Pablo Picasso and Coco Chanel, wearing the mariniere top which is now a classic item of clothing.

I also think of Jasper Johns and his American flag painting that i saw in 2001 in NY, my first visit in that amazing city..and my first live encounter with that painting...i was in awe.
Also i think of that famous photograph of the Ramones walking down the street with their striped tshirts and leather jackets.

Summer for me equals golden jewellery -usually dainty ones, 99% of the time the colours blue and white and a slight tan -excessive tanning always made my skin crawl-. I always thought it shows timeless style and proves to be a truly chic attire..
