So someone asked me what my favourite book was. And i really had no answer. So it got me thinking. And i tried to remember the books that i have read and i loved. A few days later someone posted on twitter a very nice translation of a Spanish blogger and why someone should fall in love with a girl that loves books. It was a sweet post. Anyway i thought more about the books i liked.
Here are some of the books in random order
The importance of being earnest - Oscar Wilde
The bell jar- Sylvia Plath
The metamorphosis- Franz Kafka
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen
Don Quixote - Miguel de Cervantes
On the Road - Jack Kerouac
A room of one's own- Virginia Woolf
Captain Michalis- Nikos Kazantzakis
the Big Sleep- Raymond Chandler
Catch 22- Joseph Heller
Great Gatsby- Scott Fitzerald
and some others that i will remember in time

It's very difficult to narrow it down to a mere list of ten, indeed; however, some excellent works I see you have included there. Now, for the kicks of it, how about a list of poems?
ReplyDeletei didnt narrow it down, not at all.just jolted down books that came to me after i had a look at my library during the past few days. However, i forgot Anais Nin and her diaries as well as Henry Miller and the Colossus of Maroussi which is a very dear book of mine.See more come to mind as time goes by..
