Grandma's Rules Part II - Dignity
"Never settle for second best. If a man really likes your friend and flirts first with your friend, never go with him. Especially if your friend rejects him and afterwards he comes to you. NEVER go for it. It means you are a second choice and that shows you have no dignity."
That was a very basic rule of my grandma. I think it is one of the best rules she told me...and i have always kept it. It is not only dignity, i think it is also a matter of self respect.
Recently i added another rule to this section.
Never badmouth the man that is flirting with your friend. It is unacceptable. Always be neutral if you don't have nice things to say. And of course never sleep with him if you have badmouthed him.It is the same like eating from a floor after you shit and spit on it.
Well last night an old "friend" broke both of these rules. How sad for her...
