Loving life
Lesson 1.
Yesterday was a blunt day with a little special something to make it stand out.
I started up the car on my way to work in the morning and there was a song that brought me back memories of one particular night in Tel Aviv. I went off to work with a smile and i returned from work hours later, and at the moment i was about to find a parking spot the same song appeared on the radio. And it sealed my return to the house.
I thought it was fate so i had to write this post for this song, and that night and the memory.
I was in Israel for a very good friend's wedding. I had to go, first off because i love my friend, but also because I was there when she met him. It was a night we were bored, so we called up another friend and she said she was going to an Israeli party so we met her there. I was the international friend that always stood out amongst the Israelis, but i love it, i am always curious about different cultures and Israelis are very much like Greeks. I hate their politics but i do love my friends. So there we are, laughing about how horrible the party is and drinking quickly so we can leave and join our other friends in another place in London. And suddenly this boy comes up to us and starts talking to my friend. And we never left the party... Well, 5 years later this boy became her husband. She never thought she'd marry him. Who knew...
Their wedding was very emotional, friends came from all over the world. It was in a huge storage space near the old port of Tel Aviv, Haifa that was filled with candles and flowers. And the ceremony was by the sea, and i even got the chance to dance a greek song with all my friends around me -and no shoes on. Still have a lovely picture to remind me of it.
Well before all the partying, the night begun with their first song. Which was this song. I always liked her boyfriend because he had an honest face and kind eyes, but as soon as i heard this song -as their wedding song- i knew it was his choice, and i was absolutely sure my friend was going to be very very happy. And she is..
That is what i love about life, you never know what is around the corner. And there is always something to remind you that wherever you are and whatever you have done or felt, you will always have beautiful memories to make you wanna go on.
So this is my soppy little post for love.
